General Information
Event Description
Australians are living longer. The whole nation is ageing. But how we age is not just a matter for senior citizens. The latest research shows that making the right lifestyle choices when we are young increases the chances of a healthy old age. And the findings are remarkably consistent. It’s all based around exercise, diet, sleep and social connections.
Join us for a panel discussion featuring some of the authors of our latest Science Victoria edition, The Changing Scence of Ageing and Longevity, as they discuss the science of longevity and how to age well.
Professor Tracy Comans - Director, National Ageing Research Institute
Dr Amber Mills - Policy and Research Manager, Australian Association of Gerontology
Dr David Barry - Research Fellow, National Ageing Research Institute
Bryan Lipmann AM - Founder and initial CEO of Wintringham Specialist Aged Care (retired)
Light refreshments will be available.
Please note, the venue is a historical building and has stair-only access, and a flight of stairs up to the theatre room and amenities. If you have any questions or concerns about accessibility, please reach out to the RSV team at rsv@rsv.org.au
