National Science Week: Survive & Thrive
A Diverse Program of Open Events for Families and Communities Across Victoria.
For this year’s National Science Week, Survive and Thrive brings you an open program across the State of Victoria to engage people of all ages with the world of scientific knowledge, with a focus on fun and discovery!
Whether we’re talking about people, organisations, or the relationship between humanity and the rest of the natural world, one thing holds true: we’re stronger together! “Community” extends beyond human collectives to embrace a vast network of amazing, adaptable lifeforms, all of us reliant on each other to survive and thrive in our remarkable planet’s dynamic web of life.
From major public institutions to grass roots knowledge networks across Victoria, the program demonstrates the power of collective action, from public libraries answering a thirst for deeper understanding with their local communities, to neighbourhood houses and community groups conducting citizen science and promoting evidence-based sustainability practices.
Learn how you can use reliable knowledge to help our species, ecosystems and people to Survive and Thrive into the future.
Survive and Thrive is a series of community-focused events presented in collaboration between Museums Victoria, Royal Botanical Gardens Victoria, Zoos Victoria, Neighbourhood Houses Victoria, Public Libraries Victoria and the Royal Society of Victoria for National Science Week, produced by the Inspiring Victoria program.
